May 30, 2020 · Some certificates issued by SSL.com in the past chain to Sectigo’s USERTrust RSA CA root certificate via an intermediate that is cross-signed by an older root, AddTrust External CA. The AddTrust root expired on May 30, 2020, and some of our customers have been wondering if they or their users will be affected by the change.

To avoid that message, the certificate must be imported locally on the PC and you must override the default selection to tell Windows to not simply trust the certificate but to trust the issuer as a certification authority.
